| The Palms Cafe (1609 West Innes Street) is a favorite of mine and many other people in Salisbury. There is a wide variety of healthy and not-so healthy choices. It is often very crowded around noon. |

Romano's (1510 West Innes Street) is an Italian restaurant with excellent food and service. The restaurant is sometimes too cool for my tastes. If you go, try to arrive before noon. It gets busy and there is very little room to wait for a table. |
| DJ's (1502 West Innes Street) is technically a Greek restaurant, although a variety of choices are available. It is located at the corner of Innes Street and Merritt Street. |

One of my former employees went to work for this restaurant. She liked it so much, she bought it! It is country style and excellent. Probably the best breakfast deal in Salisbury. The Farmhouse (1602 Jake Alexander Boulevard) is located at the corner of Jake Alexander Boulevard and Old Concord Road. |
| Of course, O'Charley's (123 N. Arlington Street) is a chain restaurant. But the Salisbury location has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants because of its consistently good food, great service and friendly staff. O'Charley's is located off Innes Street near its intersection with Interstate 85. |

Monterrey (2094 Statesville Boulevard) is an excellent Mexican restaurant. Great food, great drinks and great service for a very reasonable price. It is in a shopping center near the intersection of Statesville Boulevard and Jake Alexander Boulevard. |
| If you're in the mood for a greasy hot dog or hamburger, nothing beats Hap's Grill (116 1/2 N. Main Street). People stand at the counter to eat or sit outside. It is only opened until 3:00 PM. By the lack of cardiologists frequenting this restaurant, those with high cholesterol may want to eat elsewhere. It is located on North Main Street between Innes Street and Council Street. |

Osaka's (126 Statesville Boulevard) is a Japanese restaurant, although not the type in which the food is prepared at your table. The staff is friendly, the food arrives quickly and it is always good. Turn right from my office and Osaka's is only a few blocks away. |
| There are probably 19 restaurants in Salisbury that have a person's name followed by the word "Barbecue." Richard's Barbecue (522 N. Main Street) is my favorite. It is located on North Main Street directly across from the law firm of Wallace and Graham. |

Ting Hao (519-G West Jake Alexander Boulevard)is a Chinese restaurant located in a shopping center at the intersection of Highway 150 and Jake Alexander Boulevard. You get a lot of food for the money. But be prepared - because they don't take American Express. Or Visa. Or checks. Just cash! |
